Dubbo Hospital’s $105 million Stages 3 & 4 redevelopment expands the facility into a major rural referral and acute care hospital — adding a new emergency department and short stay unit, medical imaging, critical care floor, intensive care, cardiac catheter lab, ambulatory care, expanded oncology, a new entry and drop-off zone, women’s and children’s services and extra parking. The works required security roller shutters that met both architectural intent and NSW Health performance standards.

Working with Hansen Yuncken and HDR Architecture, KRGS Doors supplied custom-made Counterline roller shutters and Series II Aluminium roller shutters tailored to the new works.

The redevelopment will cement Dubbo Hospital’s place as a major rural referral centre for specialty services across the region. This was KRGS Doors’ second healthcare project with Hansen Yuncken, following Wollongong Hospital using the same product set.
