The Powerhouse Museum is undertook a revitalisation program to become a more ‘open’ Museum. This exciting new direction means the museum now has a new public forecourt and entrance, street-side café and gift shop, new gallery for international and in-house exhibitions, and greatly improved exhibition spaces. This is the first major redevelopment of the Museum since it opened in 1988.
